Hotel Eve used to be the only hotel inside the naturist resort but in the last few years another 4 hotels have been added and that are closer to the beach and more modern and these include Natureva Spa and the Oz Inn Hotel.
Hotel Eve though is the original hotel and popular with some.
The hotel is just inside the main gate and so you never need to wear any clothes if you are staying in Hotel Eve. Free at last!
Hotel Eve also used to be the only hotel but in the last few years, 3 more hotels have gone up (including Hotel Oz Inn, Natureva Spa, and Jardin Eden) and this may push Hotel Eve into improving standards even further.
The Hotel is pleasant and has a great pool area, and the staff is excellent normally i.e. very friendly although the cost of a stay is arguably a little expensive for the outdated decor to be honest.
Tip: When booking try and and ask for a Poolside room. The views are much better than if you have a room looking over the car park! The rooms tend to be very clean and overall this is a good option for accommodation at the resort.
We spent 5 days in Hotel eve and its not a bad for people that have had long nights and want quiet days (breakfast is served until 11:30).
The pool is good and the rooms are quite clean with and come with airCon.
I think the rooms are OK but slowly need renovations. Would I go back? Yes most certainly. Nadine is a very nice lady.
I sent an email about 4 months ago, even though the hotel was officially closed, and received a prompt response.
Even better, if you are nearby (at least not in Australia as I am) a telephone call is even better. The Hotel usually closes in the wintertime!
This though I think is the same with Natureva Spa Hotel and the Ozz Inn Hotel. inside the naturist resort.
The Hotel’s location is excellent given that it provides a quieter place to get a good night’s sleep compared to the likes of Port Nature.
Hotel EVe is a little far from the beach i.e. it is a good 10-minute walk to the beach but as long as you enjoy walking, it is enjoyable and good for stretching your legs each day.
The walk to the beach and only about 500 meters from the other facilities.
My wife and I liked the location because we always enjoyed the walk. If you want to be closer to the beach then either Natureva Spa or Oz Inn Hotel are better options.
The hotel itself in the past has had a monopoly because it is one of the few hotels and compared to the prices and facilities in the campsite, it is not the best option perhaps.
Many people do return though to Hotel Eve so perhaps it is best to try it and decide for yourself?”.
Hotel Eve has a great pool where it’s easy to meet people from all over the world – clothes-free free of course. And it’s only a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants like Le Bistrot in the Port Ambonne strip – and also the clubs like Le Tantra, Le Juls, and Le Glamour (further away – 15 minutes).
We’ve been there twice and wanted to go back, so that should tell you how we feel about it. That’s not to say it’s not without areas that could be improved, but I don’t want any of the following to put people off.
The rooms we stayed in were adequate but not overly spacious. The bathroom did the job, with a bath and a hand basin.
The only thing to say about the toilet is that the water boiler is usually above the loo so don’t stand up too quickly!
There’s a small fridge in the room which we normally fill with drinks from the supermarket as it’s a lot cheaper, plus a tv.
There is no tea or coffee-making facilities but the bar is open practically all day and will, I think, serve coffee as well as alcohol.
The rooms normally have a small balcony, if you’re lucky it overlooks the pool, if not it’s the car park at the back, although still not really a problem.
There are electric blinds that keep the sun out and keep the room cool. There is also air conditioning in the room.
There is a sauna, we finally found it last year, it’s on the first floor but we didn’t use it.
Breakfast (which isn’t included in the cost) is continental style and usually very good and plentiful, it’s a good way of meeting other people in the hotel too, although, of course, you can go off-site for breakfast too.
One of the main selling points for us is the pool; there are usually enough sunbeds around it, and the pool is lovely and warm and adults only.
The staff is friendly (if a little slow at answering emails!) and helpful.
The rooms and pretty much all of the hotel is cleaned daily. From memory, the bar prices are very reasonable, as is the food (only snacks really) if you want to stay and eat there.
To sum it all up, it’s the only hotel in the area so it has a monopoly; it’s a little bit dated and would benefit from a refurbishment, but this would increase the prices and could change the ambiance of the place (but I think the same could be said for much of the Cap).
Personally, we’re sure there is a need for a more up-market hotel on the site, we’re sure it would do a great trade but until then we’ll certainly be trying to book the Eve again next year if we can!
I very much enjoyed my stay, at Hotel Eve, last year, during the last week of the shoulder season, (30th May – 2nd June).
I came from Paris, where I had visited my daughter, by train and I found myself standing outside the Agde Railway Station with no idea of whether there would be a bus or a taxi.
Fortunately, one came along and shared it with two other passengers.
I enjoyed the simple pleasures of staying in the hotel and walking to the beach each day.
Friends of mine (Here, in Sydney) had been going to Cap d’Agde for many years.
Through them, I met a lovely American couple who held a welcome to Cap d’Agde Party (which they do often).
There I met Dutch couples. (I was born in Holland). It was good to know some people, to say hello to and visit.
Coming back to Sydney, my friend here, chided me for seeing so very little of the complex but that was all I wanted and gives me more to explore if / when I go again.
He was president of the Free Beach Association of NSW, which is now disbanded) is going again next month to stay with friends from Switzerland, who have an apartment there.
