Cap d’Agde Bezier Airport has four car hire rental companies, Hertz, National, Alamo, and Europcar.
Note though that because of the limited number of flights that use the airport.
The car rental offices are normally only open for a couple of hours when flights are due in and out. You have another option also with arguscarhire.com which also allows you to book online.
You can also use all of the usual agencies at the train station in Beziers.
I’ve traveled from Ireland to the Cap via Carcassonne on a number of occasions.
Certainly, it’s only about an hour by autoroute from the airport to the Cap. The airport is small, so one gets through it quite quickly.
One of you should wait for the luggage if any, while the other should make a beeline directly for the car hire company’s office.
It’s to the right outside the terminal door, before a queue builds up, as many on the flight will have the same idea.
That’s the only delay you’ll have.
I’ve used Hertz there and generally get upgraded to a car bigger than I need! I’d caution against booking via Ryanair as I’ve always found the Hertz direct prices lower.
Another company that I’ve used when its prices are lower is www.holidayautos.co.uk.
There are plenty of car rental options at the airport, but we took a flight from Paris Beauvais to Marseille last year and rented a car there to get to Cap.
It actually worked out cheaper than driving from Paris (petrol, toll fees, and a long tiring drive).
